The Maine Seacoast Mission has been committed to the people of Maine’s eastern islands and coastal communities since our founding in 1905, when we began delivering healthcare, education, basic necessities, and spiritual support by land and by sea. The trust that has grown between the Mission and the people of Downeast Maine over the years is our greatest asset.
It is a privilege to be part of the lives of those we serve—to share meals, work together, and know their hopes, fears, joys, and sorrows. We are listeners and doers. We are here for the long haul, and we are reliable.
